What is the Design Studio?

An Overview of Instant Reno powerful Design Studio.

Michael Rodriguez

See your renovation before you commit to it. Upload photos or a video of your space and explore design options in real time—no guessing, no surprises.

One of the biggest stressors in any renovation is not knowing what the finished result will look like. You pick a colour from a tiny paint chip, order flooring based on a website photo, or imagine what new cabinetry will feel like—and then it arrives and it's not what you pictured. The Design Studio solves this by letting you visualise your space exactly as it will look after the renovation.

The Design Studio creates images but also an accurate 3D model of your space so you can move aroudn the space and "view" the changes from different angles.

How it works

  1. Upload photos or videos of the room, or area you want to transform.

  2. Describe the style or changes you have in mind (modern kitchen, cosy bedroom, fresh paint, new flooring).

  3. Instant Reno's AI generates realistic 3D Models of your space with the new design changes applied.

  4. Explore multiple options, adjust colours and finishes, and save your favourites.

You can try 5, 10, or 20 different directions without any commitment. Found something you love? Save it to your project. Want to tweak the colour or swap out a finish? Generate a new version in seconds.

Real examples

Imagine your bathroom has tired old tiles and dingy grout. You upload a photo and ask the Design Studio: "What would this look like with large white subway tiles, darker grout, and modern chrome fixtures?" Within moments, you see a photorealistic image of your exact bathroom with that design applied—not a generic bathroom, but your bathroom. You can then ask: "Show me the same design but with matte black fixtures" or "What about soft grey tiles instead?" Each version is generated in seconds.

Pro tip for best results: Take photos or videos in good natural light, from straight-on angles, and include enough of the surrounding space so the AI understands the full room context. Avoid shadows and clutter. Straight-on shots work best—if you're photographing a wall, stand perpendicular to it rather than at an angle. This helps the AI understand the true dimensions and proportions.
